hi Wayne I have a modified flap assembly which allows me to hall on full 30 degree flaps very quickly my process is no flap full throttle with foot brakes on full I release the brakes start the roll for about 3 to 5 meters then rotate when I feel the slightest lift while the nose wheel is in a very high attitude I quickly hall on full flaps and push forward on the controls quickly this drops the nose and helps kick the gear up. it over emphasizes the effect of hauling on the flaps my approach is 25 degree flap and a very steep approach be careful not to loose elevator authority I also fly aggressively drive it like you stole it as the saying goes but please stay safe and fly within the design and your own limits I have bent my gear trying new styles and im still learning I have only been flying about 18 months and I have abouut 100 hours in m 701

Tracey Buttles thanks for the comment I would so so so be keen to get over there for Oshkosh but it is so god dam expensive to get from New Zealand to there especially with accommodation ect its a 10-15 thousand dollar trip but man it would be awesome and I would definitely fly in it if I had a plane over there it would be some what of a effort to get mine there hahahaha

tail skid is a modification I made aluminum flat bar with nylon fixed to under side and it works well I have put the backside on the rocks several times especially when I first started doing river bed flying and even the stol comp practice very easy to pull back just a little to far saves damage I will take some pictures
