New VW Type 4 cylinders! These are US made 96mm cylinders to be used with - K.B. Hypereutectic pistons. These cylinders fit the 1.8L and 2L heads and engine case without any machining done to either the heads or the case. These are drop in and the largest size of cylinders that can be used... larger sized cylinders require that the heads and case be machined to accept any size over 96mm! The larger sizes such as the 102mm, to 105mm cylinder bores must be Nikasil Cylinders used along with JE Forged Pistons. The Nikasil cylinders are about 10lb lighter then the cast units and and result in a cooler running engine!
