This is a new Web Cam solid lifter camshaft #86+5... with 5 degrees more overlap on the exhaust side! Advertised Duration is 270 degrees, valve lift is 0.423". Duration @ 0.05" - intake is 234 degrees and exhaust is 239 degrees. Power range is from 2000 RPM to 5000 RPM. This camshaft is designed for a reduction drive of 1.84:1 to 2.1:1 ratio. Dyno2000 data result indicate torque is 135 ft-lb at 2000 RPM and with torque of 132 ft-lb and 125 HP at 5000 RPM, ... Vol Eff. - Ve is 76.4%... peak torque is 140 ft-lb at 4500 RPM, 120 HP and a Vol Eff - Ve of 78.4%. This is a mild street performance cam. It should be noted, that the valve sizes are Intake = 44mm and Exhaust = 38mm to maintain the required flow!

The cam gear shown is modified Type 4 gear for use with a VW Type 1 Oil Pump. The Oil Pump is a HD 26mm pump modifed for use instead of the stock 21mm Type 4 pump. The stock Type 4 pumps are expensive to rebuild... cannot be acquired new. This VW Type 1 pump is for the 1970 and up 1600cc engine and is a stronger pump with better flow and there are lots out there... cost less!
