Yes the TRU-Cool is made in Mexico also.
The aluminum in these coolers is very soft and will not take much abuse. I like the cooler and am still using one however it is the brand of cooler which failed on me which resulted in a bit of in-air excitement and an off-field landing.

It seems to be the oil cooler of choice for many VW engine both Type 1 and Type 4. Revmaster has a complete oil cooler assembly for the Type 1. By mounting on the bottom of the engine it is a huge benefit to both oil cooling and keeping the engine cool for an air cooled engine!

That cooler is also sold under the brand TRU-Cool and is what I use with my Jabiru 3300 motor. It works very well.
