If I have a tail strike now the rudder and rudder horns should be protected. The tie down ring would have just dug in and not offered any protection.

Great safety improvement! After hearing stories about how sensitive this model is in pitch, and seeing a YouTube video of a 650 striking it's tail on take-off I think some version of a skid plate should be added by ZAC to ensure the rudder horn or rudder itself doesn't get ripped off the tail.
