Got the snowblower out of the hangar, winterized the floats and put the insulated cowl cover and heater to Sky Turtle. Still feels more like late October weather - just barely below freezing at night and 40s -50s during the day. We better get some good snow for skiing!

Good looking cover. Winter grounds my flying these days.

Mine went in the neighbor's hangar for the winter 3 weeks ago. A little cool this morning at -5F but it is Alaska.

John, I worked with Bruce's Custom Covers to have the insulated cover made.  This was the first UL350 cowl cover they were to make, so many measurements and photos were used to prototype a muslin pattern.  After a trial fit of the pattern and making the necessary adjustments and markups I sent that back to them for completing a finished product. They now have the pattern in their library of covers.  I had access panels put in for oil level check and placement of my Hornet Heater.  Maybe they already have a pattern for your Jabiru?  Cheers!

Bob, sometimes...on occasion...I momentarily wonder what it would be like to live South, esp as Winter comes knocking.  Then, I pull on my Thinsulate boots, add a fleece layer under my jacket, pile on a bonnet and grab my gloves and think..."hmmmm, looks like it may be flyable today?"  If it is - life is good!  If it isn't - dog gets an extra long walk ;)
