Two weeks ago we have had annual amateur aviation championship in Lomza (here). This year was 15th anniversary and my first time there. One of the competitions is flying through a gate. Initially the gate is like eleven meters wide, one by one we fly through, if you break the tape (from which the gate is made) you miss the next round. Each next round the gate is narrower. At the finals horizontal width is usually smaller than your wingspan but still some manage to go through.I am flying that plane but the glory goes to my instructor sitting next to me, who made it to the final (when the picture was taken I was just after my first ever solo flight).

BTW, usually horizontal tapes are broken, not vertical ones.
