jabiru cylinder head temp

Posted on May 17, 2009 at 4:09pm 7 Comments

Hi, What are you 601 pilots seeing for cylinder head temps in your plane with the 3300 jabiru . My rear cylinders are running 340 and 325 and no matter what I try I can,t get them down any farther. Thats what I saw today with a temp of 70 f and a nice 300 miles around the Blackhills of South Dakota. I am afraid as the summer warms up I am going to have heating problems??

Thanks for your recent comments on my paint blog Bil. Ive now painted the flapperons and slats and will start preparing the wings this week. I wanted to do it myself, and have been happy with results so far - a perfectionist would find small faults - and not in just the paint work!!

I may yet get the professional in to do the cowling and the trickier stiped parts at the finish because any "balls up" there will certainly detract from the overall job - and he's already said he would be happy to do so.

We'll see how my techniques improve as I move onto the wings and fuselage.

Bill, Thanks for the info on the intake fix. Could u give me just a little more detail on installation? I interested in knowing how you anchor it in your rubber hose. I was thinking that it should be set vertical. Is that correct? Thinks, Mark
