Hi Brad! My name is Dan Philgreen. I live in Fort Myers, FL. I recently purchased 601HDS kit #6-4410 (number hasn't transferred with Zenith yet). It came with a Corvair with parts from Bill Clapp. It is structurally almost complete with engine mounted but most of the FWF yet to be done. Also panel needs to be finished. The first owner did most of the work and passed away, unfortunately. 2nd owner is the father of a friend of mine who did very little with it and then had a stroke about a year ago. And thus it came to me. My daughter and her family live in Minneapolis and we plan to move up there in a couple of years when I retire. (yeah, retiring from FL to MN - kinda backwards, eh?) Anyway, I came across the map of 601 owners and saw you were nearby up there. Just wanted to say hi and that maybe I'll drop in on you one of these days up there!
Thanks Brad…….I haven't decided If I am going to keep or sell it……My friends grandfather built it and died before he could fly it……..She needed money so I bought it from her and considering my options….I've talked with Ed Schafer of Schafer flying field in Triad Illinois about classes and flying lessons……John
