Thanks David for the comment!
Wow...super exciting that you'll likely be flying your plane in the spring!
I'm certain I will spend a fair amount of time sitting in the cockpit dreaming about the day I get things completed.

My cousin has done a fair bit of research on our ancestry. I'll ping him with your information, and see if he's mad any connections.
I took this project over--I'm the third builder on this particular plane. The tail, gear, and fuselage are fairly complete. I've just begun the controls, and will need to get the wing kit soon. I'm sure the controls will take me longer than they should, but this is my first build, so I'm learning the best way to do stuff, and taking my time to do it. If I could do it again, I would start from the beginning, but the kit in its current state was given to me, so I will not complain.
How is your build coming along?

Hilarious! My dad's name is David, so when I saw your comment, I thought how the heck did my dad--non-pilot/builder--find me on this forum? We don't know a ton about our family, but my grandfathers family came from Iowa originally, so it's possible we are related in some way.

I will stop this pm if that is OK..such a nice day to work on things inside! Stu
David,
Welcome to the family.
I wish you the all the best with your project.
If you ever get the chance to visit the Zenith factory please take the time to stop by our builder assist facility too. We like to have visitors here and we are right here in Mexico, Mo. just a couple of miles from them.
Take care and good luck,
Bill Carter
