Hi Jacob, I assume you and your new bride made it back to Aussieland by now. I enjoyed talking with you, and hope you can find a way to get a Corvair engine to remake. If I can help, ask and I'll see what's possible. As I mentioned, I do have cores.

G,Day Jacob that would be great almost any day just not today I have to go to Melbourne my no 0408101731
so you work at Moorabbin that is 1/4 hour flight from my farm i would love to see your plane some day
I was about to start on the Wing Doubler and realized I had to remove more solid rivets and had success from the tail. This time I didn't drill out the heads to minimize layer separation, there was still some, but I would tap the material down and the rivet came out with light tapping with the riveting hammer. If I had an actual punch set for the riveting hammer, it would have only taken one hand and I could have used a socket on the other side over the rivet head to hold down the back layer.
So, you are totally correct, but as you say, Bottom line: do it the way you feel most comfortable and most likely it will be the more successful method.
Jake
I am really happy with the centre yoke stick as I like flying right-handed. It makes it really easy to get in and out of the cockpit.
Cheers,
Rick.
I am holding off on the rear spar attachment now that Zenith have taken up the problem. I will just wait and see what they come up with. Please drop in ant time.
Kind regards,
Rick.
