Welcome to Hangar 18
I started to build a 601 HDS from plans only in 1996. I built most of the wing before I had to pack my project up for a move to the Mishawaka Pilots Club (3C1) in Elkhart, IN. My wife and I have been building our house on the airport and that has been taking up most of my spare time so I have not been able to get back to building my Zodiac.
This is my old aircraft factory.
This was my progress as of 10/17/1996. I have not riveted anything together as of yet.
This is me working on a nose rib. I am not sure of the date of this photo.

Hi Jeffrey, Larry Zepp here in Fort Wayne and Auburn IN. I just took my fuselage to the DeKalb Co. airport in Auburn yesterday - to meet the wings and tail that were completed three years ago. I am in the later stages of building a kit project that I upgraded to a 650B. I have a Viking Honda conversion and a ballistic chute.
If you get in this area and can stop, call me - Cell 260-348-0336. Still working during the day, but that can be flexible. Best Regards, Larry Zepp

Yes I do belong to chapter 132 in Elkhart. I am building a 701 from components. I have finished the tail and am working on the wings. I started in 06 and I am building most of the sections in my basement before moving them to my pole building for final assembly. I will be operating out of a private strip on my property. I live north of Wakarusa and east of S.R. 19 on C.R.32. I am sorry I haven't answered you message until now but I have been on the east coast of India on a missionary trip for the past 2 weeks. I will be returning on the 25th and I will try to get some pictures to you after that. Good to hear from you.
My living room has some very large windows that the fuselage will fit through. I'll have to remove the horizontal stab. Gotta do what ya gotta do!

How about yourself? What are you building and/or flying?? I see your from Elkhart. Small world! I met Ray Ridenour at Ducks Hog Roast this last August. He's stopped in a couple of times to see my progress. Where abouts in Elkhart do you live? Do you belong to the Elkhart EAA Chapter 132??
