Another STOL801 in the Air

Posted on July 12, 2010 at 1:01pm 2 Comments

Many of you have read about the 4 750's now flying since October from Can-Zac, however few know that along with the 5 601's in the shop for upgrade and finishing we have also finished a STOL 801. This plane has a Lyc IO-360 Dynon D180 with full Autopilot, It has been a far bigger build than the 750's have been but it has also been a Joy to see such a big plane take to the Sky.…

STOL CH750 AULA

Posted on May 10, 2010 at 10:15am 1 Comment

It's Official, the STOL CH750 can now be registered as an AULA in Canada. CAN-ZAC has worked with Transport Canada to have the newest Zenith Kit added to the list. http://www.tc.gc.ca/civilaviation/general/ccarcs/advancedullist.htm

This means that you now have the choice in Canada of either an Amateur built or Advanced Ultralight registration for your STOL CH750.

New Cowling

Posted on July 23, 2009 at 8:00pm 1 Comment

The cowling mold has been lengthened and the new cowling's do not have a meal strip. I have deeded to change the cowling to the new one instead of trying to repair the version with metal strip embedded in the fiberglass. I will not be able to get this done before Oshkosh but it will be the the first job upon my return.…

Cowling Final fit

Posted on July 13, 2009 at 8:00pm 0 Comments

I received the cowing from the paint shop and fitted it to the fuselage in order to be able to arrange the fitting of The airbrush work to be done on the cowling. With the cowing in place the fiberglass work over the added metal strips has pulled away and needs to be attended to before I can finish the paint job. This is the bust for being able to have the plane at Oshkosh.…

Mark - if the weather is reasonable, and, if Bob has not finished his 750 yet, I am planning on driving to Kitchener to pop some rivets etc the evening of Dec 9th. All things being equal, I will stay until fri afternoon.
Does this sound reasonable to you ( and Bob )?
best regards, Conrad

Hi there Mark. I was given your name by Patrick Nessbit. I am looking for an engine for my 701 project and am probably going with the 80hp Rotax. Patrick said that you may be able to help.

Hey Mark,
I'm getting ready to call for inspection of the entire plane. Any advice when dealing with the MDRA inspectors? I have read through some of the docs on your site. Just want to be prepared so that I can move forward after they inspect. Do they give you a list of deficiencies then reinspect or do you jut sign off once they are completed?
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks
