FS: Continental O-200

This engine was just removed from my Cessna 150. It ran almost 100 hours in the past year and gave me great reliability, but reluctantly I swapped it out for an overhauled engine because of a leaking case bolt that requires splitting the case to fix.  The cost of labor for a certified aircraft did not justify the expense in an older engine.  Would make a great engine for a Zenith. I'm building a Sonex, which doesn't support the O-200.I'm selling my core - just listed on Barnstormers for $6500…See More

I am not yet a Zenith builder but am seriously considering purchasing the tail kit. I would like to be able to read over these forums and see what other builders are saying about the 650.

Hi mike
Yes I do get those figures but it's been a lot of work ther is a definite step in flight if you dont get the trim right you won't get the performance.

1 up I get roc of over 1000 ft per min 2 up I only get around 500ft per min

Mike, I have a 601 that has been converted to the 650 which includes the new nose landing gear. I also have the Jab 6 cyl engine. It's about 75% finished. I love the 750 enough that I may want to sacrifice my 650 so i can buy a 750 kit. Let me know if you are interested. All modifications have been done. I can also provide delivery to your door. Wings are finished and ready to close. Tail finished. Fuselage on gear with engine installed. Excellent workmanship. 920-237-1450.

I'll give you a call next week, Mike.  If we do it right you can check out my 601 and go up for a short flight to see what you think.
