I have a VDO sender and Dynon 150 display on my 3300.  Oil Temps read normal until I reach 170-190 F; at that point I get continuous, instantaneous fluctuations between 170 and 220..  Fluctuations go…Continue

Oil temp fluctuations

I have a VDO sender and Dynon 150 display on my 3300.  Oil Temps read normal until I reach 170-190 F; at that point I get continuous, instantaneous fluctuations between 170 and 220..  Fluctuations go away when the temp drops below 170. I've replaced all connectors.  Anyone else have this problem?  Solutions? See More

Rotec ignition for Jabiru

Does anyone have any experience with the Rotec ignition?  One of my Jabiru coils failed and I decided to upgrade to the Rotec rather impulsively.  Looking at the installation manual, it appears I may have to change my starting switch.  The manual recommends activating the ignition AFTER cranking.  I have the #1, #2, both, starter type switch.  I'd be interested to know if anyone has been able to use that type of switch by simply turning one of the P Leads from ground to positive.See More

Tach stopped working

I don't know ohms from alms so I'll need a simplified answer.I have the Jabiru 3300 and Dynon 180 combo.  For 200 hours the tach has worked fine above 600 RPM; below that it flickered numbers between 250 and 500.  During flight, the RPM went to Zero and has stayed there since.  (Yes, I could still hear the engine running smoothly, smarty pants).I have continuity between the alternator wire and the pin on the Dynon.  The alternator is producing voltage above 1500 RPM.  Disconnecting the…See More

Jabiru/CH750 parts

I got bored and "improved" my CH750 Jabiru 3300 with an aeroinjector.  Removed parts include Bing carby, Facet electric fuel pump, engine fuel pump, Air filter box, and dual throttle setup.  No reasonable offer refused.See More

aerocarb for Jabiru CH750

Anyone put an aerocarb on a CH750?  Were you able to install the throttle on the panel?  Dual throttles?  Mixture knob or use the aerocarb special?  Is it an improvement over the Bing?  Worth the cost?  I've run out of upgrades to do; getting bored; need a winter project.See More
