Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
Last week we hosted our first (and hopefully only!) "Oshkosh Week" at the Zenith aircraft kit factory in Mexico, Missouri. With the annual EAA AirVenture show canceled this year because of the COVID-19 global pandemic, we decided to open our factory to builders (and pilots) so that they could continue to "aviate" and work on their kit aircraft projects. The idea for this project began several years ago. It started when I first got my 801 up and running. Zenith/Zenair had changed the cowl at some point, and when I ordered my FWF kit, I got the new cowl. The cowl fit well, and most importantly cooled well in flight. I'm moving, and the wife and I have decided that the time has come to sell the stalled project (stalled, as evidenced by the fact that I haven't posted here for years prior to today). 49% quickbuild from QSP with Viking HF-110 engine and warp prop, and basically every Dynon option they make (including 10" Skyview, radio, intercom, transponder, ADS-B in/out, 2x autopilot servos). About 98% of everything you need to get in the air, minus paint, interior, and bolts. Engine runs like a swiss…
