Cut holes in the engine cowling. Tried electrical instruments first.
The easiest to use were a copying saw and a file.

Dimpled the instrument panel frame. Countersunk plate nuts. The dimpler I have cannot dimple the steel plate nuts.

Cutting the air ram box.
The box is built from a think aluminum. Tried shears, an angle grinder, a hack saw. The best is a jig saw. Clean and straight cut.

Had to file the mounting plate to make the room for the pump and filter clamps.
It turned out later the pump assembly place does not match the hoses Zenith supplied.…
