I start to strip this panel with paint stripper to re use the part (there was nothing wrong with it) and lawe and behold !!!!!!!!!! BOG !!!!!!!!!!! WTF ?

I am guessing BOG must be the local equivialant of Bondo auto body filler in the US.

You would be surprised how much body filler ends up in some airplanes. Covers a lot of sins, but adds a lot of weight. There is an avaiation filler which weighs a lot less and can be made even lighter with the addition of glass microspheres so that much of the filler is actually little bubbles of air.

Nope not jesus but BOG body filler.......... 3mm thick? who puts BOG on an aircraft ?

Adrian, for all of us who might be somewhat lost by your comments, would you please care to elaborite. Should we be seeing Jesus somewhere on your panel, or am I missing something here. !!!
