Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
Had a little marathon effort last night and got the entire bottom skin riveted. Remembered to first pop the rivets that sit underneath other objects (eg jury strut brackets), which made it all go smoothly. Drilled a hole in the tank channel for fuel hose (easier with it out of the structure) and positioned the Savannah fuel tank support before riveting.
Tomorrow I'll ask my wife to assist with flipping the wing. Then it'll be time for playing around with the tank installation (always fun).

And just to correct myself... the tanks sit between ribs 1 and 2, not 2 and 3... doh...
Hi Dan,
Here's a picture taken through the spar lightening hole - I have rotated the pic 180 degrees as the wing is actually upside down at the moment, that's why there appears to be dust and shavings lying on the top skin!
As you can see by the photo of the tank, the front brackets bolted to the tank are riveted between the bottom skin and the spar. The middle to rear of the tank sits on the bracket which I've just riveted between rear ribs 2 & 3.
Could you post a picture of the Savannah fuel tank support? Have no idea what it is.
