It does look nice. I might consider doing something like this, but then I would lengthen the project by several weeks - I'd rather speed it up...

Very Lovely. If I were to build a 601 (,some day I might,) I would do it like this, with no anticipation to dog-fight with anybody. Let us hear more of your modification.

yes it is a photoshop image, i am thinking to do it.
the rear canopy seal would be the original tube, that would rest in a carbon firbre pan (over the whole lenght) so that should be a good fit

I'm guessing this is a photoshopped image? I think this is a good idea on two levels. First it simplifies the aft canopy seal. The existing seal - especially on the sides - causes canopy locking issues because of the friction. Second, I would guess this arrangement should reduce drag. I know the external airflow over the canopy seperates right at the aft canopy bow. I've been in light rain and you can see that happening. Your proposal reduces the local slope and should prevent the seperation.
