After taking a several month break (mostly to gather monies for materials to go forward) I’m back.  I have resolved my immediate problem of having to wait to purchase materials at least to carry me through the airframe stage.  That said, in the process of getting my act together I purchased a set of plans for the Ch 750.

Yeah I know, but these STOL guys just seem to be having so much fun.   I will be placing an order for materials this week to scratch build my 750.  Hope to be able to work much faster from here on in….

I will be keeping the 650 tail, wings and pieces that I have built so far, who knows if I hit the lottery I may finish the 650 next.

Hi there Tim, after a long unplanned break on my side, I am also itching to get back to my CH-750 build. I am glad to see we will able to compare notes on the same aircraft this time. I have the aircraft building bug so bad that I don't want to do anything else with my time. Unfortunately funds have dwindled and I need to save for more materials. I may even need to get a real job again before I can get going again. I look forward to seeing your progress and was really chuffed to hear you starting a CH-750. Low and slow is the way to go :D

Tim,

better yet maybe I could just use the 650 wings and since the 650 doesn't use them maybe I could skip those pesky struts

Maybe you could attach the 650's wings to the 750 and make it a biplane.

Thanks guy's,

Jesse, I think my wife said something similar, just not in as few a words and I'm sure cool wasn't one of them (lol).

Thanks Scott, I may take you up on your offer if needed.

Wow Tim, your 650 build is really impressive so far. You have to finish it after you build the 750. I bet that the 750 build will go much faster given the experience that you have gained on the 650. If you need any CNC work to make form blocks or whatever just call me up.

Good Luck

Scott

Welcome back Tim. I was off my build for a while as well...actually changed my mind to build a Bearhawk instead but I"M BACK on my CH750. I'm on the wings now. I Love building just as much as flying but a Bearhawk scratch built is like 5 yrs..(for me anyways)...So I'll finish my 750 then I will fly it while building something else if I still have the builder itch...hahaha

Wow that's a BIG decision you've made there.  You can't go wrong with either of them.  Cool
