Actually I got a surprise on that landing..."my CH750 actually floated in ground effect". Usually it sinks and lands "plunk" on the spot I was aiming for :>)  Its the -15C cold dense air effect that causes it, you can see it on the rpm guage as the thicker air loads the engine on take-off reducing the normal take-off rpm, and in the air with higher cruise speed for a summer rpm setting. Being liquid cooled the Rotax 912 does not have any cylinder head flash cooling issues..or the tendency to quit after a long cold decent.

I enjoyed watching your steep approach - as I prefer to do also - although my hangar mate reckons I'll drive it into the ground! Long and low which he prefers and as seems more common in most videos - hanging on the prop etc, can get a smart precision touch down but no show of making it in if the motor "coughs" before the fence.

Not so fussed on that white stuff though............summer is starting here "down under"
