That shows to go ya,
Considering the extra cost, extra weight of hardware, Don't go with the folding wing option...
Click on the little i in the upper right corner of the video. It tells the company view on folding wings.
I had an Avid folding wing airplane for many years before building a 601 XL-B.
Folding wings had issues even tho Dean Wilson was a Great designer.
One: fuel in wing tanks. Had to drain before folding....
Two: When wings were folded the tail was extremely heavy. I learned to unfold and fold the wings on the trailer so it was easier to handle the aircraft.
Step one was to drain all fuel from tanks. " A pain " Then put the airplane on the trailer.
And then,,,,, fold the wings......
Finally rented a hangar.... Expensive but a relief to just go to the airport and fly...
Oh, Avid also had automatic control hook ups.
Basically I am trying to say. Folding wings suck.....
This is not the reason I'm building a ZENAIR 750.I already have a plane with the folding wing option. It takes one man 5 min. from trailer to flyable. I needed a plane with a higher gross and lots more baggage area. thats where the 750 really shines, hope to be enjoying it soon.
