Is anyone using the Trig Mode S transponder? The price is really attractive, just over $2000 and it has a built in encoder. I was looking at replacing my Microair with a Becker but the Trig looks as if it's a better buy since it has a lot of ADS-B features.

Friends have a Jabiru with the trig mode S (which replaced a troublesome Microair). It runs well, no problems reported.

Thanks for the input. I'm also replacing a troublesome Microair.

Did you try it yet? If so, can we have some feedback - we may need to install transponders soon....
I've been flying with the Trig since September with no problems. It was an easy install and Trig supplied a very complete hardware kit. I had a very minor problem with one of the trim pieces. I emailed Trig and they sent a replacement that day. So the Trig service seems to be very good.
I would recommend installing the Trig for the reasons above plus it is a Mode S transponder.
