This ranks close to "doing the canopy" in my book.  Toughest part was getting dual sticks to stop their "travel" short of Instrument panel, and not making me talk 3 octaves higher when pulling elevator up.

I completed the connections inside the wing, at the rudder pedals and at the tail prior to putting the surfaces together.  (using the trap door for access to turnbuckles for elevator), but working over the seat back to crimp on aileron cable ends was real fun...

Hello Mike,

Just do it!  You did the right ones, but, eventually, things get cramped due to the nature of the beast.  For example, you cannot complete the aileron cables until the wings are attached.  So, putting them in the wings was better.  I'm about done with my fuselage.  The only thing is can think of is leaving off the seat back parts until the wings are on and the aileron cables are attached.  That is what I will try.  Also, I am lucky in that at 5' 10", 155 lbs, and flexible, I can crawl into pretty cramped areas.  Whatever, congratulations on getting it done.  Cheers!

Bill,

Thanks for the encouraging thoughts... my seat backs are removable, but at 6' / 200lb.s it's still a squeeze and at 68 I'm not as limber as once was.

Mike
