engine choices

Looking for input from 701/750 owners with Viking engines. positives/negatives, attiboys and aw shits.  Specifically, total installed weight, cooling, gph.  Running auto gas is very important to me, I look forward to your thoughts'

I don't think the HP makes much difference. The weight would be the question.

Current plans (rev.4 onwards) CH701

Powerplant limitations: max 200 lbs, 100 hp

any more than 180 lbs installed engine wt. starts to reduce the loading / handling envelope

I have a factory new UL350is that I would like to sell. Includes:

dual ECU option

engine mount and cowling for CH-750 (may fit CH-650, check with factory)

oil cooler

dual fuel pumps

Buss manager

Andair oil/air separator including condensation trap

Andair checkvalve

miscellaneous firewall forward parts

$23,500 -- you pay shipping

Hi Ken, the firewall forward I don't believe would help as the 701 firewall is different than the 750.  I've been debating the 260iS or the Viking Honda conversion.  Cost is of coarse a major factor.  You can contact me direct at skydogpack@embarqmail.com  if you might be interested in selling the engine package alone.  Please include your best ask if this is a possibility.  I noticed the flag on your post, I flew bush up there from the early 70s thru the late 90s.  I hope to go back and visit some old haunts and  friends with the 701.   Regards, cheers,,,,,,,,,,,  Lynn
