I have some rust-oleum self etching primer and wonder if it is ok to use on our 750 project. Thanks for any help anyone can give us.

I and several from our EAA chapter have used Dupli-color shelf etching primer omn rivet lines with no problems.

I used Rust-Oleum self etching primer for all metal-on-metal in my 650. Fine product.

NAPA has a line of self-etching primer also. I have used that with excellent results when painting parts on my old Stinson. I am sure the Rust-Oleum version would work nicely also. You do want to etch as part of painting. Paint has trouble sticking to aluminum without some help.

Thank you for your information, we will use the Rust-Oleum that we have.
