In August of 2011 I did a UAV job for the ARMY with a new Rotax 914. From the start the engine ran poorly. After long hours of diagnosis it was found that the magnets on the flywheel were not in Rotax speck. Rotax required us to purchase a new flywheel (700.00$) and send the original one in for credit if they determined it to be faulty. The new part fixed the engine. They accepted it back and sent me a warranty clam form. After several calls to Dean at Lockwood Aviation and three years I still have not been reimbursed. It took 10 days to get the part.

Sunday 10-12-2014 I broke a part on my UL350IS. I emailed Robert Helms on Sunday and he replied that he did not have those parts but would contact the factory in Europe and have them sent to me. By Thursday 10-16-2014 I had the parts in my hands in Texas! That is what I call Service.

I'm reading this on10/20/2014. Is Texas that far ahead in the time zone (10/23/2014) ??? I know Texas is big but I didn't think it was that big.   Or is that a Typo???

Yes Typo Was 10-16-2014

Thanks I fixed it.

Scott

Now that's funny Paul.

Robert Helms has always been very helpful and generous to me as I have installed a 350i on my 650.

He always answers emails and phone calls and has graciously helped me with a couple install troubles.

Robert has tried to improve service even more by adding Ray Lawrence to the UL fold. Ray is a hands on engine guy interested in expanding into UL engines.

It is my understanding that Wicks Aircraft is going to carry parts as well.

UL's influence continues to grow.                                                                                                Jerry
