Gary - not sure if this helps but in AC 43.13-1B, Table 9-3 there is a min bend radius of 3" listed for 1/4" MIL-H-8794 type hose. For MIL-H-5593 type hose I found a formula (for any size) equal to 12 x inside diameter. Using that relation yields a min bend radius of 3" for 1/4" hose. I think that's the exact answer I was looking for.
I am looking at about a 6" radius so I'm well above the minimum. I had an EAA tech counsellor look at a hose bend I was contemplating in another location and he pointed out it was too tight a radius. I never thought to ask him at the time what a recommended minimum might be.
