Hello All,

Well I got a bit of a rude awakening when I went to renew my insurance.

For the past three years I've been able to finance my premiums with a down payment.

Unfortunately Marsh and McLennan Agency (Overland Park, KS) has recently decided that they will only finance premiums >$2500.00. So my yearly premium of $1542.00 is due in full.

I'm ok (I guess) with the premium amount just not happy paying it all at once.

Can anyone recommend another agency?

Hi Brad,

Yours is less than mine.  AOPA offered me a much cheaper policy but I had already gotten the one I have from Falcon and have heard that companies don't like you cancelling to go another so I didn't do it.  Will look at next renewal.  The one from AOPA was so much less I wondered if they missed it was a taildragger.

Wenk insurance, ask for mike, check them on google for their number.

they are a broker so they will shop all the companies for you and give you the results. I’ve used them for many years.
I don’t know why your insurance is so high, tail dragger perhaps?
I have full coverage for about $800.00
Insurance on planes has gone down significantly last few years, too much competition.

After talking to a number of agencies, the best rate I found was $985 through AOPA,

Liability; $1 million/occurrence, $100,000/pax
Medical; $5,000
Physical damage; $40,000
No deductible

Brad does that include hull too?

I got First Flight liability only same coverage as yours I think except for medical for 496/year

Call Gregg Ellsworth till him Buzz Air sent you. 1 800 247 7769 the cost is about $1100 per year. Be careful getting different quotes from different brokers. Ask Gregg why this important. Gregg insurers all our Zenith's
