throttle cable & linkage

I'm stuck and need advice before continuing my 750 Cruzer.  I am unable to solve the puzzle of how to route the throttle cable to a Corvair 3000cc with a Marvel Schebler MA3-SPA that is mounted backward to accommodate the intake manifold.  Any ideas appreciated.

On my 601, I ran a piece of aluminum stock across the engine mount, in front of the carb.  Attached to that stock was a peice of angle that had a fitting through which the throttle cable ran.  The throttle cable went to forward and "snaked back" to the carb.  It worked.

Thanks this looks good.  Is that an AN firewall fitting you sleeved the cable through?  Not being a smart ass I'm just kind of dumb about the specifics of the fitting.

The attached picture isn't real clear, but it is very similar to Patrick's setup. 

If I was doing it again, I would have left the cables a little longer. 

I put a fire-sleeve around them to protect from the heat of the exhaust pipe.
