Real World experience with warp drive props and rain?

As "winter" (read "rain") approaches in Northern California I would like to hear from those who have flown with a warp drive prop in the rain. I understand it can erode the propeller and even warp drive does not recommend flying in heavy rain.

I have flown once in light rain and throttled back to about 2200 RPM until I got out of it. I do not have the nickel Leading Edge on my prop.

So what has your experience been with warp drive prop in rain and did you have the nickel leading-edge or not?

I know I can have the nickel leading-edge added but don't really want to spend the money right now.

Get the nickle leading edge and don't give it another thought.

Gary, the previous owner of my aircraft had warp drive (plain leading edge ) installed on Corvair, he told me it was pretty much wasted after hitting rain en-route to Oshkosh, It sported nickel edges when I bought the aircraft. I have nickel edge on Catto I use now

I've had the nickel leading edges on my warp drive since day one and never had an issue flying through rain.  Several years back I recall seeing a warp drive prop without the nickel leading edges and it suffered an impressive amount of damage after flying through rain.  I would not fly through rain without the leading edge protection.

Any opinions on adding an additional Stoneguard leading edge tape beyond the nickel leading edge?
