Ok, so why doesn't it have a warranty?

My original ETX680 developed a fault (turned out I had inadequate heat shielding) just before the two year warranty expired and EarthX agreed to replace it. Because I'm only at my hangar on weekends it took quite a lot of time to go back and forwards and rather than wait for the replacement I bought a new one so I could keep on flying. Now the replacement is here, but the warranty that it is under has expired.
