Still really early in my build but AeroMomentum definitively caught my eye for multiple reasons: pricing, engine history/reliability, weight, owner apparent passion/credibility, truly experimental, before after support, etc. Read and watched pretty much everything I can find about it on the web, ie. Mark's videos, forum, Andys RV12 channel, Oliver's channel, etc.
Do anyone knows where we are with:
- Cruzer forward kit
- Zenith to provide full support (sponsor) as much as they do with UL Power as example
- How many AeroMomentum flying so far (all types of aircraft and AM models)
- How many AeroMomentum purchased awaiting to fly
- Which model would be the best suited for the Cruzer (I know it's an owner's choice but is there a clearer path... leaning for AM15 131HP for power and easier support)
- Known issues to tackle for aircraft usage
- Possibility for owner-assist in the engine build, ie. would gladly take a week of 2 off and go onsite to assist/learn in the engine build after reception from Suzuki
- etc
I'll surely contact Mark in due time (at least a year from now) but any more info that could be shared now would be appreciated.

Wow, I cannot believe you still have not received any updates. I don't have any skin in the game but always curious what's out there.
I hear you! Since I'm still early in the build I'll contact Mark when ready with those questions (and more I'm sure). But I'm a little surprise there isn't much more interest in AM on this forum... oh well, hopefully it will grow over time. Cheers!
I realize this is a dated thread, but I wanted to give you something to consider with the AM engines. I am finishing up a Cruzer build with a UL engine (purchased a partial kit from an estate sale). I really like the auto conversion engines and probably would have gone with one had I started from scratch. My biggest concern with the AC engines was weight (I am a big dude, 6'4', 280 and MTOW is an issue for me).
A friend and fellow Zenith owner is considering upgrading his current Jab 2200 and has been looking at the AM engines. It was pointed out that AM uses a "coil on plug pack" ignition that appears to have one coil pack power two plugs (in other words if you lose a coil pack you lose two cylinders). Whereas the Viking engine has independent coil on plug for each cylinder. Additionally, I have heard that they (AM) don't have cowlings for all the Zenith models.
I am not saying I know this for fact, but it would certainly be worth further research...
When I e-mailed with mark a month ago they did not have a cowl yet for the 750 STOL which should be the same cowl as the Cruzer. It is an interesting and appealing engine, but I recently decided against it just because there is not a truly complete firewall forward kit for the engine and it is now engine time for me. If I had the time and interest in being a beta builder I would give it more consideration. It is also worth noting that it is not a particularly cheap option once you add the prices for their FWF kit.
While Zenith is great at supporting multiple engine choices all of their factory aircraft have always been powered by some kind of regular factory built engine. Continental, Rotax, Jabiru or UL power. This may be in part a insurance issue since these are factory demonstrators.
