I have been adjusting the pitch of my DUC prop and have noticed that the bolts are no longer holding their torque and the washers stay flat when loosened.
Does anyone know where to order replacement washers and how many times you can loosen/tighten them before you should replace them?

Glad I could help.
I have around 15 hours on my Viking 90 with a DUC Flash prop and havent had any issues with the bolts loosening up, but I too would prefer safety wire to make it a sure thing. I have considered drilling holes in the bolts to do just that but am afraid of what it might do the the strength of the bolt head.
I did buy a large quantity of the standard Bellville washers and replace them every time I take the prop off or change the pitch at Loren's suggestion above. I think a pack of 50 was $13. Cheap insurance!
Jan, why do you use Belleville type washers versus Nord-lock type? What's the advantage?
I dont think that was Jan's choice. That is what Duc-Helices supplies with their props and prop bolts. I suspect it's just going with what the manufacure recommends.
