I ordered one today also, can’t beat the price, I did not get any antennas I will buy them as I go with this build !

I managed to score one of these from Jo. My problem is now the SkyGuard TWX app to use this unit has been taken off the Apple and Google stores - any way to get this so I can program the ADS-B with the airplane data?

Well I am stumped on this. I again tried a search on both - nothing, then looked at all aviation ADSB and still nothing for SkyGuardTWX on either site. Can you narrow this down a bit Dave exactly where. Many tks. John

You go to the app store and type in skyguardtwx

can anyone else verify this

i have no problem finding it

are you looking in the App Store?

Yes, tried all that on both Apple store and Google - I did find a reference now. Says this app is “not available in your country or region” I’m in Canada. Never saw this before on any apps. Strange and I have no idea why but I’ll try to follow it up.

If an app isn't available in your country, you could always try downloading a VPN.  A VPN is a program that creates a secure, untraceable connection between your computer/ipad/phone and a web site.  An added benefit is that you can set the vpn to show that you're in any country you'd like.

I guess another way is to travel to the US and then download the app (are you near the border by any chance?)

so that’s it

I didn’t know you were in Canada, or that the APP is not available there

I would call Don Houtz or email him and ask him what to do

I’m not even sure if Canada uses the UAT

They may be using 1090

any Canadians here know?

if UAT is not used in Canada you can’t use the Skyguard

if that’s do you will have no problem selling it for a profit to someone in the US

I just looked it up

1090 only in Canada

The Skyguard is a 978 UAT

not allowed in Canada
