I start with replacing the >058 front tube with one fabricated from .120 wall chrome moly.

most Zeniths are destroyed when the tube folds under the plane.

There is a Die Spring chart to select from that list compression weight and inches.

For example 200 pounds to compress 1 inch etc.

I use a red one that I get from Fastenal. 30-40 bucks.

I might still have some in bags.

I have made the top plates and also bought just that part from Jan at Viking.
