Finally Have Some Color

After a year of flying my Zodiac in its unpainted glory, I took advantage of the annual inspection down time to have it painted/wrapped.  It turned out pretty nice.

Please describe how you prepped the surface for the wrap given at least some oxidation after being exposed for a year.   Excellent result!

Polished to a mirror finish, lightly sanded, cleaned with two products, application of an anti-oxident/adhesive, then wrapped.

Is the entire plane wrapped or just the parts that appear painted?

It’s a combination of polished aluminum, painted surfaces (generally the fiberglass parts), and vinyl wrap.

Way cheaper and less "deconstructive" than a traditional paint job.  Longevity remains to be seen...
