I’m getting ready to run the fuel lines in my 750.  The Zenith kit uses rubber lines from the right wing to the left wing, down a side channel to a gasolater (under the pilot seat) to a single valve, through the firewall to the engine.  I plan to use 3/8 in. alum. tubing and an Andair selector valve to have control of each tank. The problem I see is making the connection from the wing (through the trailing edge skin) to the fuselage.  I am planning to use a bulkhead fitting at the fuselage and go from that to a rubber line to the tank.  My question is how do I make the connection to the bulkhead fitting trailing edge skin space to the rubber line going to the tanks?  The only solution I’ve come up with is to leave a little extra rubber tubing in the wing root area so I could make that connection as I install the wings.  Another solution maybe to make the connection to the bulkhead fitting first, install the wing, then make the fitting to the tanks.  In either case, that still leaves the issue of maintenance in the future.

I’d appreciate any ideas other builders might have.

Hi Stanley, I ran 3/8 tubing all the way. From the tank to a bulkhead 90 degree fitting and down each door post to a sump behind the pilots seat ( where the gascolater is supposed to go ) I then ran to my shut off in my center console and on to the firewall, right side where I installed the supplied gascolator. I ran the line from the tank thru the spar as indicated  and then ran it just past the end of the trailing edge. This gave me enough length so when I installed the wings I just unhooked it from the tank and pulled it just out of the way to hook up the wing. I then measured and cut and flared the tubing, worked well! I used a flared fitting on both ends, coming out of the tank and to the bulkhead fitting. If you still wanted to use the rubber line from the tank, you could make a short nipple with a flare and B nut and just clamp the hose to it. I ran tubing all the way and it worked fine...( I got a 50' roll from aircraft spruce, soft bendable 3/8 alum tubing )

Thanks for the info.  I may just use the 3/8 tubing all the way.  I was thinking of running the line below the fuselage in that center support channel, coming up the floor to the Andair selector valve in the center console and then running 3/8 tubing to the firewall.
