Anyone interested in a Viking 110hp motor?
(Viking motor’s are based on a Honda engine, very proven design..... vikingaircraftengines.com
I recently found out for my upgrade to a Viking 150hp that I’ll be needing a new prop, engine cowls, and some other items.....So engine mount, motor, flywheel, (almost new) ground adjustable carbon fiber prop, spinner along with full fiberglass engine cowls will be part of this package). I’ll pay for the buyers inspection at Viking when it’s being removed from my 750. I have plans for future amphibious floats, possibly STOL competition and I operate from a tight strip with an extended waistline, therefore I’m going to upgrade to a Viking 150hp version. Engine is being operated weekly and runs very smoothly aprox 490-ish hrs on it at my last conditional inspection which was just a few weeks ago. Pm me for discussing time lines and price/offers - not trying to make money on this sale and will settle for a fair price. Asking $7,000 all of this new would have you spend at least $16k to get in the air. Looking at flying my airplane to Viking in Florida in early December and have the motor pulled there. They are obviously experts in crating and shipping motors and it could easily be shipped to you. Crating and shipping charges are not considered in my asking price. Thanks Steve

I know that people have had Viking 110hp motors in 701’s
but I’d have to dig to get you specifics. I’ll ask Alissa at Viking
if she can put me in touch with a few people. Please post that question here
in the forum also. I’m newer to the group having only owned my 750 for a good month now
and there are a lot of people here that know a lot more than me. I’ll pm you my phone number
if you’d like more information on the engine also.

I was at the Zenith homecoming this year (I have a 701 with a rotax 670 2 stroke) and talked to someone interested in selling a viking 110, not sure if you are the same person, but am interested, where are you located?

I haven’t been frequenting this page enough and just found your questions now. I wasn’t the person you spoke two at the Zenith Homecoming but would have loved to attend it. Maybe next year... I do have someone right now that’s waiting on a crating and shipping quote from me and as long as that’s reasonable he said he wanted the motor from me. I’ll let you know if that falls through. Im pulling the motor at Viking in a few weeks (7Dec-ish) and that’s when the sale would be finalized.
