Good day! I read your post regarding rigging/rudder/ball and was curious if you have determined the cause of your heavy left wing and if so what was your solution? I am nearing the completion of my 750STOL build and would appreciate any feedback you can provide. Also on a side note thanks for your service in the Air Force!
My father flew on Looking Glass...from 1965-68. I was a SAC guy, too...flew B-52s out of March AFB, CA (1980-82) and Carswell AFB, TX (1982-84). I didn't stick around long enough to retire...decided not to put my family through never-ending SAC alert routines...separated after 8 years of service and went to work for a major defense contractor.
I'm hoping to start work on a 750 Super Duty this fall...gotta get my hangar finished first. I hope to follow your progress.
On my CH 750 I installed the ELT ant. on the top near the baggage rear bulkhead. I installed the com and the Transponder ant on the bottom. The Com ant is stiff wire and has a 45 degree bend in it so is not very close to the ground, and located just forward of the seats, the transponder is very short and located just aft of the bottom access hatch. All of the GPS are on top of the panel. All has worked well for 5 years.Hope this helps, I have pictures on my home page, not very good on showing the ant on the bottom, unless you have good eyes.
