Fuel Tank Vent Line Size

I’m planning to install the Viking 195T for my 750 Super Duty.Instead of rubber hose, I intend to use braided stainless steel, conductive-teflon hose for my fuel lines. The main feed line from the wing tank is AN6. I understand I need a vent line from the header tank back to the wing tank, and I want to minimize the size hole that I have to drill through the rear spar for that vent line. What is the minimum recommended size for the vent line? Also, I haven’t been able to find any information…See More

FREE - Crate for Zenith Kit

I built this crate...pulled it to Mexico, MO to pick up my CH-750SD component kits...fuselage, rudder, and empennage the first trip...everything else the second trip.  The kits fit in the crate fine. It's now just taking up floor space in my hangar.  I would like to see someone take it back to the Zenith factory to pick up their kit(s).  No charge...as in FREE...just come and get it.  I'll help you load it on your trailer.  Approximate interior dimensions:  14' long, 48" wide, 32" deep. The crate…See More

Just looked up your profile. as well as accepted your friend request. I am a former Lockheed employee, laid off in the '80's could never get back. I was an Engineering Research Technician in So Cal. My dad was the first retiree to hit 51 years of employment. I thought about the SD but it doesn't have the folding wing option, I can't afford a hangar so I need to be able to bring it home. I am trying to build it in my shop/garage but have to move my truck or trailer out and back in every night. I live about halfway between Parker County and Mineral Wells airports.

Hey Mike,

I don't know if you've put together the slats yet but if you have a copy of the IPL, can you forward it to me? My entire kit came without any instructions (aka IPL) and when I asked about it, I was sent a link to Zenith's Google Drive but there is some missing info and a lot of IPLs are not there. I attempted to build the slats from the drawings and blue prints but they turned out with some major wrinkles in the skin and I'm unhappy and will have to start over on them. Overall, I find the edrawings to be very helpful but sometimes the IPL gives little hints that the drawings leave out. I occasionally find some photos with build tips but these are rare and not in one easy to find place.

How's you build coming?

James

Mike,  My name is Rodger Rinker...I'm up in Alberta, Canada.  I just received the 750 Super Duty kit & am ordering cleco's & miscellaneous things I may not have.  I wanted to save my bugging the factory for more important stuff I'm sure I'll be driving them crazy with.  Getting conflicting info. on this.  How many of which size clecos do you recommend I order for this Super Duty kit?  I think I'm up to speed on most other things, but is there something not obvious you recommend I include with my cleco order.  Probably go with Aircraft Spruce here in Canada.  Thanks for any help you may have.  How fanatical should I be as to trying to get a perfect flat table & what length?  Thanks Mike.....Rodger

Hi Mike - that's just me in an old F8.  Most of my USAF time was on the EC-135 (Old Airborne Command Post) and doing Space Operations.  I really like your proposed scheme!  Best of luck.
