Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to let everyone know for those who are running a Warp Drive Prop, I discovered a crack in one of the blades of my Warp Drive Prop as it entered the hub! Glad I discovered this! Just wanted everyone with a Warp Drive to be aware and check your prop blades! The prop has only 92 hours on it and it's on my 601XLB with a Continental 0200! I will be contacting Warp Drive and find out why this would crack!

Thanks for the heads up. Adding this location to my preflight!
Also curious if that is just a sleeve around the base or is that the prop base itself?
Yes, sleeve that goes into the hub.
Thx for posting this. I checked mine yesterday
No problem! It will be a regular check every pre flight now!
Thank you so much for this post. I fly behind a Warp Drive prop on my 701
No problem Jerry! Just adding this to my pre flight inspection around this area from now on! I sent the prop back to Warp Drive... They still never gave me a good answer to why this happened? Just said, a prop strike over over torque the bolts.. Neither was the case!
Unique harmonics? Or, more likely, just a defect in the metal itself?
I haven't looked at mine closely, but that cracked sleeve almost looks like it has scratches/grooves in it. Maybe just a camera/image quirk? Or maybe an indicator of the cause?
I'm going to look closer at mine.
