The new Rubber Puck nose gear from Zenith seems to work well and no longer uses the bungee.  You might check with Zenith also.

Hi thomas, 

    The viking spring is good , uses the welded in cross tubes that the bungee used. The puck system good too but

you will need to cut out the cross tubes on an older nose strut, or order a new one from zenith without the tubes.

Our 750 Cruzer has the Viking Steel Bungee and it’s been working just fine for 400+ hours.
