I had my 701 wings off for maintenance to my fuel tanks this winter. After I reinstalled them, and took my plane on several flights I find I have a slight drop to the left side in hands off flight. What is the proper way to readjust the ailerons to achieve level hands off flight.

I had a similar situation on my 750.  I made a trim tab (approx. 4x8) installed at the end of the R flaperon attached with three 6-32 riv-nuts and machine screws.  I made a guess and bent it at 20 degrees down and that was just right.

Here is the Zenith factory solution in a video.  Zenith YouTube Flaperon adjust

It worked on my CH750 STOL just by hand squeezing the edge with my fingers.

Thanks for the info I had a tough time trying to find information on this! I will start verifying that my ailerons are set up correctly first . Does anybody know the recommended degree deflection at neutral for the flaps?

Andrew,

If your airplane did not have a heavy wing prior to removing the wings then find what changed when you reattached the wings and you will correct the problem.  If you visit the Zenith builders site https://zenithair.net/builders-page-for-the-ch701-stol/ you will find the drawing that shows the deflections and how to measure them.

Thanks so much this is exactly what I needed. I think the aileron control rods moved on me I had the jam nuts loosened when I removed the wings and I think one or both rotated on me.

Yes that could very well be your issue. Good luck!
