The Seat Pans that came with our Cruzer kit are about 4mm narrower than the plans call for (381mm instead of 385mm). This means that we have zero clearance between the steel tube of the Seat Back and the Seat Back Supports. I mean not easy to slide a piece of paper between them.
Has anyone countersunk the last vertical row of rivets in the Seat Back Supports and used flush driven rivets (AN426) instead of AS5 pulled rivets?
Any issues with using aluminum rather than steel since it's going through a steel part? Anybody know how to calculate the right diameter/length of the rivet required?

I am not near my plans, but it seemed like there was a washer specified between the seat post and the pan and that provided enough space for the seat back to swing. I would check with the factory.
The washer on the pin on the Seat Back pushes the side of the Seat Pan out a little near the top but not enough for the steel pipe to clear the Seat Support Bracket.
