Todd,

I have flown another persons 750 with a Lycoming engine, not sure if it was a 360 or what but the owner said it was 160 hp. The short story is the plane flew like crap, the weight was just too much. According to the placard it weighed 1000 lb empty. Now he may have not had the right prop on it, but you had to pull the power back to 2100 RPM before the buffeting from the prop blast would go away and give a smooth ride. Not much useful load with that extra weight either.

I have been flying so 750 for 11 years with the Rotax 912 UlS under light sport rules so 1320 gross. Now I have added an edge big bore kit, for a little extra kick, and the plane flys well at 775 lb, has 1000 ft/min climb. Now if I were rich and wanted the extra HP I think I would go for the EDGE package.

Regards Bill
