We hit the road for Mexico early Sunday morning. I have no idea what to expect traffic wise in that some of the news outlets are predicting big numbers hitting the road. In good conditions it should take 8 hours so I hope to arrive in Mexico before the Sun goes down. Zenith has been nice enough to say that I could park my camper van in their lot....hopefully they don't lock the gates. If they'll let us, we'll probably stay Monday night as well rather than fight the traffic. I've never visited the factory so I'm also excited about getting a look at their operation.

We plan on driving out the 20th, hanging out the 21st and then fly home in N603DR on Tuesday.

My wife and I are planning to stop in our camper van on the first leg of a trip to the left coast to reconnect with family. Timing (eclipse) and location (Zenith Factory) couldn't be better. I hope everything comes together to make this a memorable event.

VFR weather permitting, a few years back my brother rented home in Cornwall, England to view eclipse but on day of event ....Overcast.
