I have watched many YouTube videos, and have found none that address the Zenith Aircraft Dual Controls installation.  And, I've searched this forum as much as I can.  I find references from years past regarding pros and cons.  But, I can't find installation procedures.

The drawings I received from Zenith do not address this option, nor do the installation instructions.  So, I am at a stopping point here for forward controls.

Help if you can.

Thx.

If you post in the Open Forums, members don't have a clue as to which aircraft you are talking about, so it is helpful to mention what you're building!  I looked you up and apparently you're building a Cruzer.  I installed dual controls years ago (in a STOL 750) and there were detailed plans drawings included with the option - 75-DS-1, 75-DS-2, and 75-DS-3. I had no problems installing them by referencing the drawings.  If you don't have the drawings, surely Zenith will provide you with a set - numbers might be different for the Cruzer, but likely they're very similar.

Thank you, John. Correct. I should have specified the Cruzer model.

I will request those drawings from Zenith. I believe I have all the parts, but drawings will be a necessary complement.

For the Cruzer, you want drawing 75-DS-3.

My dual stick STOL 750 build is several years newer than John Austins and it was the same.  The drawings were the only guidance I had plus plenty of pictures from the forums and the homecoming aircraft.  If you have any specific questions or need a particular picture just let me know.  I have about 1,800 build pictures.

I am sure there is nothing wrong with the center stick, but I love my dual stick single center throttle set up.

I would appreciate any pictures you have of the mounting process and hardware for the dual sticks.  I have quite a few parts still to go into the fuselage forward area, and am sure several are for the dual sticks.

I sent an email to Zenith requesting the "DS-" drawings.  Hope to get a positive response tomorrow.

Really enjoying the build process.  Keeps me out of the bars.

Take a look at this file, of a 750 dual sticks.

Thank you, Ron.  I've downloaded and printed these instructions.  I do have the problem in that the newest system has different gussets and hinge plates.  And, the connecting rod heading aft is positioned above the torque tube.

Roger sent me drawings for the new system.  I've attached these drawings, and I attached a photo of the new hinges and gussets near where I have to drill and attach to the fuselage.

The STOL and Cruzer have different panels, so it kind of makes sense that the drawings would be different.
