After I melted part of one of the seat covers, I had to order an additional yard of material to complete the repairs. The repairs took only a couple of small pieces so I was left with lots of extra material for some more upholstery projects.
When I leave my home base for other airports, I like to carry my tow bar for easy maneuvering and parking. It is a long clunky piece and there is not a good place to stow it. I decided to use some of the extra material and pleating…

There are several forum topics in the 750 STOL area about seat belts and 4 or 5 point harnesses. So far I have seen three different ways of upgrading to the 4 or 5 point harness from the stock over the shoulder seat belts. Joe Harrington has posted pictures of his installation using a cable attached behind the baggage back wall and John Austin has posted pictures of his installation using a welded tube running from the existing shoulder belt tabs. Both of these types of installation are…

I later added a Velcro strap to hold headsets. Seat cushions are positioned in the seat pan with Velcro also.
As with all my fabrication, I had it Cat scanned to be sure there were no defects.…

I have been flying for several years with just some Noral seat cushions from Aircraft Spruce. The 3” seat bottom was okay but the 2” back was always slipping between the back support bars. I ended up adding a stadium cushion and a lumbar pad without much better results. After reading several of the seat discussions on the forums, I decided to build my own upholstered seats. As usual, I studied the work of my hero, John Austin, and copied his and others’ seats. But in this…

A builder in the Classified section of this site has most of the parts you will need to fix your CH750. http://www.zenith.aero/forum/topics/ch-750-kits-for-sale
Zenith will charge you more for the parts individually than this builder has "for Sale" complete.
Hi Jeff, my trip to Guadalope was quite an experience.
I got 7hrs of flight training from Sebasten one of the instructors that spoke english.
The Island of Quadalope is pure french and I speak none.
the place is very nice with great warm weather year round.
Lots of good swimming and snorkeling
My wife enjoyed the weather while I was flying morning and night.
It cost around $180 an hour Canadian, with instructor.
Also the wind is always blowing so I got to try this great little plane is quite strong winds.
I will try to post a picture.
Jeff, I am looking foward to seeing you Sat. Russell
I finished my Corvair powered 750. It flies great
>Danny, of all your services, transition training would be the most interesting to me. Contact me with some details when you have time. Jeff
Hi Jeff, I would be glad to help you with your transition training. Please contact me via email: dannycreech@yahoo.com and I will gladly answer any questions you may have about the training.

Jeff, Your ship is looking good, and obviously your cats approve. The "ducting" you see at the air inlets of my 601 is made from plastic flower pots. They are split horizontally so each half stays with it's respective cowl half. My inlet holes in the cowl are 5 1/8" I.D., but this is reduced slightly to 5" by the ducts, which are 1 3\4" deep. They taper larger toward the engine. They are held in place by high density aerosol foam insulation. This method works, but is problematic. After installation I shaped and painted the foam (the plastic must be held rigidly in place during cure). The problem comes from the foam continuing to shrink and crack for the next year or more, requiring touch-up work. Perhaps there is a better material to use, though mine seems to be stable now. As you probably know, outlet area and configuration under the cowl is critically important. Be sure to use the big oil cooler recommended by William. If you would like any specific photos of my installation, let me know. I'm not an expert, but have a working installation after tweaking. The Corvair runs great, with good power.
Sure Jeff, I can gladly help you with that. When would you like to get started??
Danny
I bought the laminator they sold simply because I didn't already own one. The main problem I ran in to was not being able to get the labels to transfer properly on to the clear Mylar. It turned out I wasn't putting enough of a stiatic charge in the Mylar. It takes a whole to master the technique but the end result is worth it. The text and lines are crisp and clear. It is very much like silk screening. The initial kit comes with plenty if foil colors to practice with. I ended up ordering more white to finish my panel simply because I messed up a lot during the learning phase. I'm even thinking of making my exterior labels with this system as well.
